Don Bruhl Jr. of Marble Falls was born on January 15, 1937 in Fredericksburg. He died peacefully at Seton Hospital, in Austin on Monday, June 4, 2012.

Don spent his youth in Llano where his dad Don, Sr. ran the local drug store. He was a member of the basketball team and his 1955 team is in the Llano Athletics Hall of Fame. Don attended the University of Texas majoring in ceramic engineering.

Don met his wife Jeannine in Michigan where they both worked at GMAC in Flint. Later in life, Don became a certified public accountant. Don and friend Jim Huckaby partnered in their own firm. After many years, they sold the business to Freemon, Shapard, and Story, and Don joined FSS to run their new Marble Falls office, where he worked until his retirement in 2010.

Don’s greatest passion was golf. During his golfing “career” Don carded multiple holes in one. Don liked to laugh and enjoyed all aspects of a good joke telling, hearing and even being the butt of one. Don was preceded in death by his parents and wife Jeannine. His brother Dennis of Somerville, daughter Tina Timmerman and husband Craig of Austin, and daughter Dona Loethen and husband Bruce of Leander survive Don.
