Here it is Monday morning, my third day on the job, and I’ve just been made aware that I’m close to missing my first deadline (the Chamber Corner article for the newspaper)…..oh my, don’t want that to happen!

So, allow me to briefly introduce myself. I am Patti Zinsmeyer, the new Llano Chamber of Commerce Director. Some of you know me or have already seen me around town. I’ve enjoyed meeting many friendly and interesting people through my volunteer efforts in the past year.

My husband, Charlie, and I moved to Llano from Austin in June 2011. Oh, by the way, we are not retired. Many people have asked us, “Why move to Llano?” and our answer is quite simple. We knew living in Llano would be simpler and that makes life so much more enjoyable. And, did I mention where we moved from? We’re glad to be here!

This past weekend, The Rockin River Fest was my first official event to participate in as the ED of the Chamber. What a wonderful event with lots of things to do for the whole family. I have to admit, I absolutely loved the Duck Race. Saturday evening ended in a bang with the most spectacular fireworks show. Hats off to the City of Llano!
