We are just a few days into July and have already had plenty of excitement at Pecan Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Birthday parties and celebrations galore.

Wednesday, July 4, we had a 4th of July picnic (inside... way too hot outside). The dining room was decorated with red, white and blue flags, bells and stars. We had B-B-Q sandwiches, chips, french fries, brownies, ice cream and drinks.

Sara Maultsby and James Reavis were crowned Miss Liberty and Uncle Sam. They were both very excited and surprised.

We also had two birthdays on the 4th of July, Joe Polk and Mary Blaze.

A good time was had by all and we are already looking forward to our next party.

Wednesday night some of the residents were treated to a trip to the park thanks to Dixie Turner to watch the fireworks and they were full of stories to tell on Thursday morning.

When you get a chance, come by and visit Pecan Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation. Our wonderful residents always enjoy visits and have stories to tell.
