Loren Aldon Woods

Loren Aldon Woods, 95, of Kingsland, passed away, July 11, 2012. He was born to William Floyd and Texie (Hayes) Woods, in Frederick, Oklahoma on May 30, 1917.

Mr. Woods worked for the U.S. postal service for many years then became a salesman. He had been retired for some years. In his spare time he restored antique autos, restored airplanes and loved to fly airplanes. He was a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge # 249 A.F.&A.M. in Frederick Oklahoma. He was married to his wife, Dorothy Estes Woods on August 6, 1962.

Aldon is survived by his wife: Dorothy Estes-Woods of Kingsland, Texas; children, Robert Woods of Arlington, Texas and Marilyn Woods-Vaughan of Eufaula, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Lori Smith of Arlington, Texas; brother, Anton Woods of Lubbock, Texas; sister, Claudine Duncan, Frederick, Oklahoma, nieces and nephews also survive.

He also has three stepchildren.

A memorial visitation was held 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday July 17, 2012 at Putnam Funeral Home in Kingsland. A burial service will be held at a later date in Frederick, Oklahoma. An online guest register may be signed at www.PutnamCares.com.
