HCM Hospital welcomes Dr. Gildersleeve to medical staff
Wednesday, August 8, 2012 • Posted August 8, 2012

Hill Country Memorial Hospital (HCM) in Fredericksburg is welcoming primary care physician Roger W. Gildersleeve, MD, to its medical staff.

Dr. Gildersleeve has joined Carrie Culpepper, FPN-C at Hill Country Primary Care Physicians offices at 205 W. Windcrest, Suite 130 in Fredericksburg and 1331 Bandera Highway, Suite 3 in Kerrville. Together they provide adult and adolescent and pediatric care for women and men, management of chronic diseases, diabetes care, geriatrics, nursing home care and urgent care.

Dr. Gildersleeve is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He received his doctorate from the University of Texas – Houston Health Science Center in 2002 where he was in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his internship at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine at Albuquerque in 2003 and his residency at the Northern New Mexico Family Medicine at Santa Fe in 2005.

His focus and beliefs are based on the preventative medicine and wellness model, and the patient centered medical home. In a medical home, the practice is organized around the patient – communication is based on trust, respect and shared decision-making. “Research has found that patients want access to personalized, coordinated and comprehensive primary care when they need it, when it’s convenient for them,” Dr. Gildersleeve said.

He and his wife, Erin, and their three children moved to Fredericksburg from Round Rock. He enjoys swimming, jogging, meditation, yoga and music. He started on a saxophone, but is now teaching himself the guitar and mandolin.

Both Dr. Gildersleeve and Mrs. Culpepper are providing a full scope of family medicine and are accepting new Medicare and Medicaid patients. For more information visit them on the web at www.hcmdocs.com or to make an appointment, call (830) 990-1404 or toll-free at (888) 899-7256.
