Randell Paul Worley

Randell Paul Worley, 75, of Kingsland, Texas, formerly of Big Spring, Texas and Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away August 2, 2012. He was born to Richard Homer and Ila Dean (Guffey) Worley on December 30, 1936 in Jud, Texas.

Mr. Worley was a veteran of the US Army. After attending flight mechanics school in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he was assigned as a crew chief in Alaska studying the repair times associated with the colder weather in Alaska. After leaving the military, he spent most of his career as a commercial airline mechanic. He could work on many aircraft from nose to tail and at one time worked in South America on crop dusting helicopters. Mr. Worley never married, but blended with many friends and made them his family.

He is survived by his sister, Phyllis Mason (Preston) of Kingsland, Texas; nephew Curtis Mason; nieces Renee Nix and Pam Suitt and great nephews Tyson Mason, Colin Mason, and Cody Mason.

A sister, Barbara Roper of Stanton, Texas, precedes him in death.

A viewing was held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Monday, August 6, 2012 at Smith Funeral Homes, 210 Avenue A, in Knox City, Texas. Graveside services were at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at the Rochester City Cemetery in Rochester, Texas with Steve Leftwich from Chapel of Hills Baptist of Buchanan Dam, Texas presiding. Interment followed at Rochester City Cemetery. An online guest register may be signed at www.Putnam Cares.com.
