New CASA Volunteers Sworn In This Month - Community News - The Llano News

Pictured are: Left to Right: Brenda Durst (CASA Board Member); Chuck Lacallade (Counsel to the CASA Board); Judge Rob Hofmann; Dusty Durst (New Volunteer Advocate); Sue Thornton (CASA Executive Director); Linda Johnson (New Volunteer Advocate); Kathy Kasparek (CASA Board President); and Linda Fryxell (New Volunteer Advocate).

All three volunteer advocates will accept cases to advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children.

CASA is a non-profit organization that speaks up for the best interest of abused and neglected children in Blanco, Burnet, Lampasas, Llano, and San Saba counties. Since its inception 20-years ago, CASA for the Highland Lakes Area has served over 1750 abused and neglected children; and in calendar year 2011, its 97 volunteers served over 245 abused and neglected children.
