Bostick Announces Military Retirement

Master Sergeant Bobby Bostick retired from the United States Army on August 31, 2012, after serving for 21 years.

His parents are Brenda and Jim Richardson of Llano, Tx, and Tommy and Ann Bostick of Midland, Tx. His grandparents are Bob and Maudean Keeler of Lovington, NM.

Bobby graduated Llano High School in 1991 and joined the army that same year. Before moving to to Llano, he went to school in Lovington, NM until he was a junior.

While in the Army he earned many medals; Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal W/ V Device, Meritorious Service Medal (2nd award) Army Commendation Medal (5th award) Army Achievement Medal (2nd award), Joint Meritorious Unit Medal, Valorous Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal (6th award). National Defense Service Medal (2nd award), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (2nd award), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (3rd award) Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd award), Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, RANGER Tab, Pathfinder Badge, Master Parachutist Badge.

While in the Army he went to the following schools, Advanced Military OPNS Course, Advanced NCO Course, Airborne School, Basic NCO Course, Combat Life Savers Course, Jumpmaster Course, Pathfinder Course, Leadership

He served in two designated imminent danger zones; Somalia and Iraq. US Flag, Lapel Pin and Certificates were issued.As well as on bases in Georgia, Washington, Alaska, Texas and Colorado. He was ROTC instructor at UT Texas in Austin, TX. As well as CU in Denver, Co

He now hopes to move on with a new career as a civilian. He and his wife Tami will continue to make their home in Highland Ranch (Littleton), Colorado with their sons, Jordan, a sophomore and Dakota, a 7th grader.

Bobby and his family appreciate the support that the communities of Llano and Lovington have always given to him as a soldier.
