Last weekend the Christmas holiday season kicked off with the first night of Starry, Starry Nights, Black Friday shopping and Small Business Saturday.
Llano will continue the holiday celebration with the Llano High School Theatre Department presenting, an adaptation of Charles Dickens, “A Christmas Carol”. Friday, November 30 at 7:30pm, and Sunday, December 1 at 2:00PM, admission is free, but donations will be accepted. In conjunction with this production, the Llano High School library is having their “Buy one, get one” book fair! The book fair will be open one hour before showtime for your shopping pleasure, and afterwards to complete you Christmas shopping experience. This performance is appropriate for all ages.
The Annual Lighted Christmas Parade will be on Saturday, December 1 at dark. But before you enjoy that, come out to the Llano Courthouse and cross off some of those gifts on your list at this year’s Christmas Market, held at the Llano Square.
Have small children? No worries, Llano Main Street is offering the chance of a lifetime – shopping without the little ones under foot! Just drop your child off at the LanTex at 6pm Friday night, and they will be delighted to watch Arthur’s Christmas while you shop at the local shops around the square! They will be staying open until 8pm just for you!
Kingsland will be hosting the First Annual Snowflake Baby Show at the Kingsland Christmas Festival, which will be located on the Chamber of Commerce grounds.
On Sunday, come celebrate at the Valley Springs Community Center from 2pm-4pm – the Center has recently undergone major renovations and the building is ready to be seen!
Can’t make it to any of the festivities this weekend? Well, do not fret! Next weekend will be just as much fun!
On Friday, December 7, Promote Llano will be hosting a “Dickens” of a Christmas Dinner Theater at The Rambling Rose. Happy hour, dinner and great entertainment!
For the youngster in all of us, December 8 will be a real treat! Come sled down Llano’s very own snow hill at Badu Park! Brought to you by the Llano Christmas Lighting Committee, it is truly a fun way to usher in the season!
