9th Annual Feed The Hungry Food Drive Underway
Wednesday, December 5, 2012 • Posted December 7, 2012

The 9th Annual KITY Feed The Hungry Food Drive is collecting non-perishable through December 17. Blue Christmas wrapped donation barrels are at HEB grocery stores in Kingsland, Marble Falls and Burnet, Lowe’s Market in Llano, Jamail’s in Horseshoe Bay and Tamale King in Buchanan Dam. All donated food goes to the local pantries to help local families in need. The local food pantries benefiting from this drive are LACare Inc. in Burnet, The Helping Center in Marble Falls, Sharing the Harvest in Kingsland, Joseph’s Food Pantry in Granite Shoals and the Llano Food Pantry.

Look for the blue Christmas wrapped donation barrels near the front doors of the participating locations. Donate non-perishable foods such as canned and boxed foods, rice, dry beans and peas, etc. If you would like to donate frozen meats or make monetary cash donations, contact your local food pantry directly. Some facilities may or may not accept meat but always accept cash donations.
