Let Llano be aware: A King is coming to town. That’s right, right here in our humble town, an actual regal visit will occur! Just who the king is, and where he is from, no one seems to know.
Our investigative reporters, Greta Van Popcorn, Eve Goodnight and Dawn Sonnenschein are on the case, however. Is he the King of Rock and Roll, King Tut or the King of the Jungle? In the little town of Rumor’s Mill, USA, anybody and everybody has heard a rumor, and they’re not afraid to spread it.
In this delightful musical, our 4th through 6th graders take the lead in bringing Christmas to their own small town of Llano. Providing choral support, the 1st through 3rd graders will also have their time on stage.
No Christmas would be complete without the beautiful strains of children singing, and this year’s musical has plenty of catchy tunes that will leave you humming as you depart. But don’t leave too early: there will be a wonderful reception with Christmas punch and cookies immediately following the play.
“A King is Coming to Town” will be performed this Sunday, December 9 at 6:30 pm at the Family Life Center at the Lutie Watkins Methodist Church in Llano. Admission is free.
