LES’s Spotlight on Perseverance

On Friday, December 14, Llano Elementary School recognized students for exhibiting perseverance. Casey Callahan, LISD Assistant Superintendent, talked to the students about different examples of perseverance. His theme throughout was, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going!” Cookies and juice were provided by the cafeteria staff. Those students who were honored include:

Kindergarten – Luke Sanderson, Jayla Thigpen, Jaycee Buchanan, Michael Logan, Vann Frank, and Summer Smarr.

First Grade – Billy Davidson, Forrest Homesley, Rickey Oestreich, Daniel McMahon, Layna Rusche, Abigail Pirie, and Collin Strand.

Second Grade – Reagan Mitchell, Sidney Baker, Carson Kuykendall, Maria Vargas, Mackinzee Edwards, and Jalynn Clark.

Third Grade – Ashley Stark, Kaden Raborn, Justin McPherson, D.J. McCall, Sean Valdez, and Kellen Rushfeldt.

Fourth Grade – Matthew Kloepper, Diego Miguel, Faith Pierce, Jazlyn Blackburn, Kamryn Wenzel, and Rylee Humphries.

Fifth Grade – Kaley Wingett, Hayley Hamilton, Lauren Tudyk, Tyler Burney, Talia Najera, Douglas Stewart, Jhalil Amos, and Juna Glasscock.
