Liz began her art endeavor in the early 1990’s when she took Tole Painting from Shirley Gray. It sparked her interest in painting and when Ruth Lythe invited her to a demo at the Llano Fine Art Gallery she said she was hooked. She has been one of the most faithful members since 1995. From that time on, she has painted with Guild members every Saturday at their Gallery and really enjoys painting with others. Her highly accomplished paintings run the gamut of just about every subject matter you can imagine. At least twenty of her paintings adorn the Gallery walls. To see her work and the work of other Hill Country Artists come by the Llano Fine Art Gallery at 503 Bessemer Ave. Gallery hours are Thursday - Saturday from 10:00am until 4:00.
Liz came to Llano with her husband Jim and five sons in 1966 (47 years ago), so she feels like a native. For 22 years she worked for the Post Office delivering mail as a Postal Letter Carrier until she retired. After work she would play golf every day and later on weekends. She misses playing golf and having family around to cook for. Cooking is one of her specialties and she also loves sewing and crafts. Active in the Methodist Church she sings in the choir and is on the Mission Committee.
