Heart of Texas Events Center Brings Multiple Talents to Stage
Wednesday, January 16, 2013 • Posted January 17, 2013

The Heart of Texas Events Center will stage our first event for the 2013 Concert and Dance Series on January 26. The concert will begin at 2:30 PM and the dance will be held from 8:00 PM until Midnight. Admission is $12 per event, or a combo ticket to both shows for $20 each.

This month’s event will feature Heart of Texas Recording artists Amber Digby, Rance Norton and Justin Trevino. The shows will also be album release parties for both Digby and Norton.

Raised in Nashville, Tennessee, the capital of Country Music, Amber Digby is one of the most refreshing country singers in the first decade of the new century. She recorded her first album “Music from the Honky Tonks” in 2002. It received much attention from all over the world, selling worldwide and creating an overwhelming base of fans.

The popularity of her first album resulted in several tours abroad: she performed at the Furuvik Country Festival in Sweden, toured Australia, playing in Melbourne, Sydney, New South Wales and Brisbane. After returning to the US, she performed in Tulsa, Nashville and Forth Worth.

In 2010, Digby made her first appearance on the Grand Ole Opry. Segment host Ronnie Milsap praised Digby as being one of the finest female traditional artists in Country Music.

Her latest album, “The World Your Living In” was released in January of 2013.

Traditional Country Music is a form of music that needs to be preserved and kept alive, Rance Norton is doing his job to do just that.

From small-town Texas, Rance Norton grew up listening to the great legendary traditional honky-tonk artists; artists like Ray Price, Johnny Bush, Faron Young, Darrell McCall, Curtis Potter, Tony Booth, Frankie Miller, George Strait, Mel Tillis, among others.

Norton’s first CD, “True Country,” on Heart of Texas Records, produced by Justin Trevino, features 12 traditional country music songs including duets with both Johnny Bush and Justin Trevino.

At 21, Rance Norton is carrying on the traditions that have been set before him in the dancehalls of Texas. As his CD title states, Rance Norton is “True Country.”

His new album, “Here We Go Again” is being released on January 26, helping to cement his career as an up and coming Traditional Country Music entertainer.

Justin Trevino will also be featured. He will be working as a solo artist and then be featured with Digby on some duets from their highly successful album “Keeping Up Appearances.”

Other entertainers will include Star Longoria, Jim Loessberg, Randy Lindley and Shane Lively.

“We are giving our fans the best of both worlds,” MC Tracy Pitcox said. “We will have an afternoon opry show and then an evening dance. After the Marble Falls theater closed, we decided to stage five shows in Brady this year.”
