Local photographer, Tom Suarez, will give a Photography Demo to the Llano Fine Arts Guild on Monday Feb. 4 at 10:00am at their gallery located at 503 Bessemer Ave.
Tom will talk about some of the basics of Digital Photography and how to achieve certain techniques using digital media.
His photography studio is located in the same block as the Llano Fine Arts Gallery (two blocks north of the bridge) and he will take the Demo participants to his studio after his talk to see some of his work and equipment.
One of his favorite subjects to photograph is water drops. As he explains, each drop of water he photographs will turn out differently, just like snowflakes. He has a special machine set up to photograph water drops.
Everyone is invited to attend this demonstration. A five dollar donation to the Gallery will include the demo and a pot lunch to be served at 12:00 noon afterwards. We hope to see you there.
Born in Louisiana, Tom moved to Texas where he graduated from Collin County Community College.
While attending college in Plano, TX he started out taking Graphic Art Classes and Photography.
He soon realized that photography was his real love and totally immersed himself in that field.
He moved to Llano in 2001 and is well known locally for his photographs of people, weddings, landscape scenes, sporting events and wildlife.
Some people in Llano know him for his construction work, which he explains that he does on the side to help finance his purchase of new photography equipment.
