Linda Kay Worley, 68, of Granite Shoals, Texas passed away on January 12, 2013. She was born to Harry Clyde and Lillian Ruth (Jackson) Wilkes on November 12, 1944 in Burnet, Texas. She was married to William Henry Worley on July 13, 1963.

Mrs. Worley enjoyed food, traveling, reading and most importantly, socializing. She knew no stranger. She was a nurse early on in her career and cleaned houses. She also worked with her husband in the Worley Tree and Yard business. In her later years, she took care of many elderly folks. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Marble Falls, Texas, Al-Anon, PTA, and the Girl Scouts.

Linda is survived by her mother; Lillian (Jackson) Wilkes of Kingsland, Texas; a son Lieutenent Bill Worley and his wife Janet of Kingsland, Texas; a daughter Chatella Worley and her friend Marco Inostroza of Granite Shoals, Texas; grandchildren, Tres, Travis, David, and Amber and great grandchildren Troy, Mila, Brayden, and Cayden.

She is preceded in death by her father Harry Wilkes; her husband William Worley, Sr. and sisters, Shirley Faye, and Juliet (Judy) Whittington and brother Henry (Rusty) Lee Wilkes.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 11:00 am at the Putnam Funeral Home Chapel at 145 Texas Avenue, in Kingsland, Texas. Rev. Max Copeland of Marble Falls, Texas officiated. Inurnment will follow at some future date.
