Wednesday, January 22, 2014 • Posted January 24, 2014

Following a very successful Candidate Forum in January for those seeking national and statewide offices, the Llano Tea Party has scheduled a second Candidate Forum on February 6 for individuals seeking election in the March 4 Primaries. Those invited to participate in the February forum includes candidates for Texas House of Representatives-District 53, to replace Rep. Harvey Hilderbran who is running for Texas Comptroller, for Judge 424th District, and a number of Llano County offices. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. It is the goal of the Llano Tea Party to assist area residents in making informed choices in voting in the Texas Primaries.

Inman’s Kitchen (Hwy 29 West) in Llano will once again serve as the location for the February 6 forum. Social time begins at 5:30pm, with dinner and program following around 6:30 p.m. With 20 candidates confirmed, formal speaking time will be limited, therefore social time has been increased to a full hour to allow more time for the candidates to visit with area residents and answer questions. The dinner is $15 with reservations made by February 4. Those without a dinner reservation will be asked to contribute $17.00. Children 12 and under always eat free. To make reservations please contact Patricia Dawson by February 4th at 325 247-4567. While the dinner is optional, it is important to make a reservation so adequate seating is available. Should it become necessary to cancel a reservation, please do so by contacting Mrs. Dawson no later than February 4 when a commitment is required to Inman’s Catering.

All registered voters are encouraged to vote during early voting February 18 through 28, or on Election Day March 4. Along with your voter registration card, a photo ID is required for those wishing to vote. Anyone not already registered to vote in Llano County is encouraged to do so now, which will enable voting in any Run-offs, and in the General elections in November.
