With all of the kiddos back in school it’s time for the regular children’s programming to pick back up at the Llano and Kingsland Libraries. All of these programs are free and open to everyone, so join the fun!

Storytime and After-School Story/Craft Time are already in full swing at the Kingsland Library. Every Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m., preschool children and toddlers enjoy stories, crafts and more at Storytime. Later that day after school is out, older children come to the library at 4:30 for the After School Story/Craft Time.

At the Llano Library, Children’s Storytime will start Thursday, September 9 at 9:30 a.m. The Homeschool Group will start meeting again on Fridays starting on Friday, September 10 at 10:00 a.m. All homeschool families are welcome to attend this fun, educational program provided by the library. Also on Friday is the After-School Movie that starts at 4:30 p.m. – this week "G-Force" will be showing.

Starting Monday, September 20

If you’re looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon each week check out the Domino Club that has started meeting each Thursday from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Lakeshore Library. Many have turned out for the weekly game day to enjoy playing 42, Mexican Train and Chicken Foot – join the fun!

All three Llano County Libraries are gearing up for the annual October Book Festival. Many plans are in the works for a month filled with authors and special events – as more details are finalized we’ll get the word out!

th at 10:30 a.m., the Kingsland Library will be teaming up with Llano Memorial Hospice Volunteer Coordinator Jackie Hatfield to start a new Understanding Grief Support Group. The group will welcome all persons in the community who have lost someone and would like help coping and understanding the stages of grief. If you would like more information, you may contact Carol Lovill at the Kingsland Library. At this initial meeting, the group will discuss dates and times for future meetings.
