The Llano Tea Party is hosting a Candidate Forum on February 2 at Inman’s Kitchen in Llano. All candidates facing opposition in the April 3 primary elections, including County, State and National races, have been invited to participate. With the filing deadline for Texas Primary Elections extended to February 1 there may be candidates LTP has not yet identified. Any candidates who have not been invited, but wish to participate should contact LTP president Lee Ellis at 325 248-4090 as soon as possible. Elected officials and candidates not facing opposition in the primaries are welcome to attend and, as is the custom of LTP, will be introduced to attendees and have an opportunity to visit with them personally before and after the program. Tables will be available on which to place campaign materials. Candidates participating in the forum are requested to advise your intention to attend by January 20 by contacting Liz Ellis at 325 247-4025 or by email at email@example.com.
The Candidate Forum will be held at Inman’s Kitchen, Hwy 29 West in Llano, on Thursday, February 2. Social time begins at 6:00 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 and the program following. All area residents are invited to attend and get to know the candidates who wish to represent us at the various levels of government. Non-candidate attendees are requested to contact Patricia Dawson no later than January 31 at 325 247-4567 to reserve a place for this program.
Llano Tea Party is happy to welcome candidates for any office who wish to attend one of the regular monthly meetings. Visiting candidates will find it possible to talk with attendees during the social time, dinner, and after the program. Due to the number of candidates expected to participate in the February 2 Forum, LTP can promise formal speaking time only to candidates in contested races. All candidates are invited and encouraged to take this opportunity to meet your constituents.
The Tea Party has scheduled future meetings to be held the first Thursday each month at Inman’s Kitchen (Hwy. 29 West) in Llano, beginning at 6:00 p.m. All like-minded persons are invited to attend. Membership is free; donations and volunteerism are always appreciated. For further information, please contact Lee Ellis (325 248-4090), or Hugh Dawson (325 247-4567).
