BURNET, Texas – (Jan. 27, 2012) – Officials with Seton Highland Lakes Hospital and Clinics held a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, January 26, 2012, for their newest clinic, Seton Kingsland Healthcare Center. The clinic is located between Ridgeview and Nob Hill Streets in the heart of the Kingsland business community. Construction will begin immediately.

“It has been a privilege to serve the children in the Kingsland area for the past eight years through our Kid’s Care-A-Van program at Packsaddle Elementary,” said Arie Dejong, Administrator and COO, Seton Highland Lakes, and Vice President, Seton Healthcare Family. “The community has grown dramatically since we served our first patient. It has become clear our current services offered in the community must expand to meet the growing healthcare needs of the residents in the area.”

The 6,000 square foot clinic will have 12 exams room as well as a community room for health education and other public events. Primary and specialty care providers will see patients at the new facility.

“Our plan, which started in 2010, was to develop a multi-specialty clinic with a spirit of exceptional service and person-centered care,” Dejong continued. “We will achieve our goal through this clinic. We are excited to partner with the community to materialize this dream and our honor commitment to providing outstanding health care close to home.”

The clinic is scheduled to open this summer.
