John Rabb, 91 of Llano, Texas passed away Monday, February 06, 2012. He was born August 7, 1920 to James Richard Rabb and Mamie Hartman in Llano, Texas. John married Janie Castro on August 10, 1996 in Johnson City, Texas. Mr. Rabb was a lifetime resident of Llano, a Veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of the Llano American Legion and was an active member of the First Christian Church. John loved fishing, hunting, dancing and he loved life and he lived it to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Judith Wilson, one brother, Carl Rabb and two sisters, Wilma Rabb and Doris Rabb.

Survivors include his wife Janie Rabb of Llano, Texas; step-sons, Albert Hernandez and wife Tina of Llano, Texas and Louis Hernandez and wife Sylvia of Lampasas, Texas; daughter, Jean Hagood and husband M.D. of Austin, Texas; step-daughter, Veronica Ortiz and husband George of Marble Falls, Texas; brother, Sam Rabb and wife Mary of Llano, Texas; nieces, Carline Scott and husband Don of Llano, Texas, Ann Matlock of Llano, Texas and other nieces and nephews; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Richard Rabb, Russell Rabb, Jonathan Hagood, Louis Hernandez, George Ortiz and Bart Freeman

Honorary pallbearers were, Veronica Ortiz, Fred Shaffer, Les Inman, Albert Hernandez and the Church family.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Gretel Morgan officiating, burial followed at the Llano City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, 1105 Oatman Street Llano, TX 78643.
