Hey folks it’s that time of year again. The 4th of July is coming fast and that means

the Annual Rock’n Riverfest and all of the whistles, bells, and fireworks that go with it! It will be held at Badu Park in Llano on Friday, July the 3rd and Saturday July 4th, with the fireworks display scheduled for 9:30 (or dark) on Saturday evening. Friday’s festivities will include The “King of the Hill” 4x4 Mud Runs at Toyland Park on Highway 16 N. Tours will be given of the Red Top Jail from 9 AM to 2 PM, and mechanical bull rides will be going on from 7PM till midnight at Badu Park. Saturday’s roster starts early and goes all day. The “Little Miss Sparkle Pageant returns this year and will be taking place from 9AM till 1PM. And don’t forget the Rubber Duckie Race at 3PM! Raffle tickets for a drawing during the pageant, and tickets to the Rubber Duckie Race are being sold by the 4-H kids. Tickets are also available at Moursund Insurance and at the 4-H office (325) 247 – 5159). There will also be a children’s fun park open from 9AM to 5PM. There will be wet and dry play areas so make sure that the little ones are in swimsuits or play clothes. And the big inflatable attractions are FREE! There will also be the Rock’n Craft Fair, the Open Car Show, miniature boat races, the Rock’n Car Bash, the LVFD Hose-Off, a kids fishing event, a washer tournament, a silent auction, the Children’s Patriotic Parade, Red Top Jail Tours, and of course more mechanical bull rides. And at 8PM you can test your skills in the Mechanical Bull Riding Contest! Of course what would a 4th of July be without food, and lots of it! The BBQ Cook- Off will be going on from 8AM to 3PM, and the Fish Fry will be happening from 6PM to 8PM. Bring your appetite! And you DO NOT want to miss this year’s music lineup! Samantha Little will take the stage from 12 – 3 PM and Hanna Gray from 3 – 6. The Street Dance, following the fireworks, will kick off with the Open Dance Contest, and will feature the music of Dub Miller, to be followed by Kyle Park. There is a good time and fun for everyone, so come join the party!
