Thanks to John Hallowell for an excellent article about our beloved Red Top Jail. The community of Llano has really snowballed into a force of action for the restoration of this old building. The Red Top has a new RED roof. Now you can come visit the jail without the rain or hail seeping down to the first floor. It has been saved from inevitable destruction, for now. The next step is the Foundation, which needs new piers and beams.

To help with the Red Top Jail restoration, please purchase our new "I Escaped" T-shirts at Enchanted Rocks and Jewelry, Material Things, or City Hall. Also, feel free to get a group together and call us for "tours on demand" (Tom, 423-2516, Mara, 247-1928). Most importantly, become a "Friends of the Llano Red Top Jail" Member by contacting me or Sandy Shaw: sandyshaw@ctesc.net. All of the money you give supports the Red Top -- no overhead! We truly need your support.

Thank you,

Sheri Zoch, President
