U.S. Savings Bonds and impressive Easter Baskets of gifts and prizes went home with a few lucky hunters at the 2008 Kingsland/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce Easter Egg Hunt April 19.

“What a great day for the children,” said chair of the event Chris Carl after the hundreds of families had left the sunny campus of Packsaddle Elementary School.

A year ago, stalwarts that stayed until the prize drawings were huddled under umbrellas, clutching Easter baskets in a cold, biting wind.

Winners this year included Michael Collins, Caleb Wilhite, Laellah Mraz, Callie Johnson, James McKay, Natalie Johnson, Steven Gallarob-Morris, Brandon Rob, Dani Rae Lehmann, Joni Rodriguez and Justice Willson.

Carl extended a special thanks to sponsors of the event American Bank, First State Bank Franklin Bank, Security State Bank & Trust and Wells Fargo Bank, the Kingsland Lions Club, VFW Ladies Auxillary, Stone Construction, Ann Little of Hutto & Lucksinger, Reflections Day Spa, Putnam Funeral Home, NightScenes Corp., Highland Safety Center, Gray Insurance, Lake Time Realty, Kingsland Pharmacy, Attorney Chuck Lacallade, the Kingsland HEB Food Store, Munchkinland, Charlene Cummings and the chamber of commerce.
