Cory Halliburton, a 1995 LHS graduate, was recently elected and appointed to serve as a Director of the Fort Worth - Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association. Founded in 1928, FW-TCYLA is a voluntary Bar Association for young lawyers living or practicing law in Tarrant County, and is a local affiliate of the Texas Young Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division.

Halliburton recently moved to the Fort Worth area from Lubbock where he practiced trial and employment law and also served as a Director of the Lubbock County Young Lawyers Association.

Halliburton is an associate attorney in the Arlington office of Weycer, Kaplan, Pulaski & Zuber (www.wkpz.com), and his practice focuses on the representation of churches, foundations, homeowners associations and other nonprofit entities in Texas and across the United States. WKPZ has 19 attorneys in its Houston office and two attorneys in its Arlington office.

Halliburton is the grandson of Barney and Jean Halliburton and the son of Gary and Sheila Halliburton and Rayburn and Jeannette Houston, all of Llano.
