The FFA Meats and Livestock Judging Teams competed at their respective contests in College Station on April 5.

The Meats Judging Team placed fifth in their contest and the Livestock Judging Team placed seventh. This qualified both teams for the State Contest, which will be held in College Station on April 26.

The Meats Judging Team consists of Trey Brooks, Chelsea Montgomery, Walker Woolman, and Monica Bigger. Also competing were Blair Schorck, Cassidy Rabb, Kaily Timmons, and Breann Hoskins. Throughout the spring they have competed in several contests.

The team placed 21st in San Antonio with Chelsea Montgomery placing 17th high individual. In San Angelo the team placed 14th, at Houston the team place ninth with Trey Brooks being the 15th high individual. At the Tarleton State contest the team placed sixth with Chelsea Montgomery being the 16th high individual.

At Texas State the team placed 11th. At the Area contest Trey Brooks was seventh high individual and Chelsea Montgomery was the 19th high individual. The team also received District Champion Honors.

The Livestock Judging Team members are Taylor Osbourn, Sterling Jameson, Audrey Sanders, Jordan Montgomery, Alex Homesley, and Clay Tarter. At the Guadalupe County Fair they placed fourth with Jordan Montgomery being ninth high individual and second high in swine; Sterling Jameson placed tenth high in swine.

At the Aggiefest contest the team placed 15th. In San Antonio the team placed 12th out of 229 teams and Sterling Jameson was 21st high individual.

In San Angelo the team placed fourth and Clay Tarter was fourth high individual. At the McCulloch County contest the team placed 14th. In Houston they placed 24th out of 269 teams.

At Tarleton the team was 12th out of 205 teams and Sterling Jameson was 15th high individual. At the Area Contest Audrey Sanders was the 15th high individual.

The Livestock Team was also named District Champions. Good luck to both of these teams as they compete at the State Contest.
