Carl Pittsford, 81, passed away Sunday, April 13. He was born Dec. 7, 1926 in Bastrop.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Geraldine Pittsford; his daughters Margaret Givens, of Buda and Carlene Barnard (Kenneth), of Del Valle; his son Carl Pittsford, Jr. (Dee), of Dale; his grandsons Monte Smith, Jr. (Janice), James Pittsford Smith, John Michael Givens, Trey Davis (Shela), Matthew Davis (Abigail), Will Barnard (Lauralee), Ezekiel Sanchez and Cristina Sanchez; and his twelve great-grandchildren.

On April 11, 1946 he married Geraldine Lamb in Austin, where they resided until 1960 when they moved further south to Manchaca. Carl served in the U.S. Navy from Aug. 10, 1943 until March 11, 1946 aboard the USS Waller 4DD as a Signalman 3rd Class. He was a member of the Plumber/Pipefitters and Heating and Air Conditioning Local Union 286 for 55 years.

Graveside service was held at 3 p.m., Thursday, April 17, at Live Oak Cemetery in Manchaca.
