The 13th Annual Hill Country Senior Citizens Prom, BBQ and dance will be held Wednesday May 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Inmans Kitchen in Llano.

The event is free and all senior citizens are invited to participate. There will be a crowning of a king, queen, and court along with door prizes throughout the event.

Prizes and the prom are made possible by donations from all the communities in the Hill Country.

Inmans Kitchen will provide the dance hall. Bode Barker and Donald Ricketson along with many of their talented friends will provide the entertainment.

One Family International (OFI), a nonprofit organization, along with some Hill Country activity directors have worked very hard to make the prom the success it is but with all the disasters going on in the world OFI’s funds are getting slim.

In order to keep the prom going, we are asking some businesses to be sponsors for 2009, to help defray the costs.

Anyone interested in sponsoring or attending or who would like to volunteer to help with decorating or cleaning up or who would like to make a donation of money or door prizes, is asked to contact Ray or Libby Simpson at (512) 258-8543 or Dana Lackey at (830) 997-4364 or (325) 247-6471.
