The Valley Spring TEEA Club met at the home of Martha Long for lunch and a business meeting. Twelve members and one visitor were present.
Agent Marilyn Hale had roll call answered by telling favorite yard landscapes. The TEEA Creed was recited by all members and President Linnie Osbourn started with unfinished business pertaining to the District Meeting to be held April 22 at the American Legion Hall.
The Valley Spring Club was in charge of table decorations, which most were already made and according to replies from various clubs in the District, the Valley Spring Club will be hosting 138 club members. The president appointed Becky Jennings and Barbara Heldrige as a Communitee to select new officiers for the coming year.
Names were also submitted by secret vote for the selection of Valley Spring Club Service Award Winner.
Martha and Hudson Long were presented a beautiful grapevine arrangement with ribbon and yellow roses for their 50th Anniversary made by Betty Branham.
In June, the Valley Spring Club selected to eat out for its meeting and Verna Osbourn was asked to check into where to go and report back in May.
Ruth Hopson won the Sunshine gift brought by Martha Long. The gift was one of the new Llano County Family Heritage Cookbooks, which was a very speical and appreicated gift.
A program was given by President Linnie Osbourn about floral arrangements. Each member was given copies of various arrangements for fresh, dried or silk flowers. It was very useful and enjoyable.
No refreshments but who would want any after the wonderful luncheon served by Martha.
