Llano Main Street and the Llano Chamber of Commerce are hosting “Desserts of Llano” on Saturday, February 13, from 1 to 3 p.m. Delicious and scrumptious dessert samples will be presented from participating local restaurants on an array of tables located in front of (or inside) our local businesses.

This event is an excellent opportunity for our citizens, as well as tourists, to visit local businesses, as well as sample desserts. Display tables can be decorated by the dessert folks with sample menus, and special promotions.

Next week we will publish a of list all the participants and locations for folks to be sure they taste all the goodies. Headquarters will be at the LanTex Theater with maps and locations available of the participating stores. Tasters can cast their vote for their favorite dessert on the back of the map. Bring your ballot to the LanTex at 3 p.m. for a drawing for cash prizes for individuals who visited all of the stores. We will give plaques to the restaurant winners.

The Whites will be featured at the Llano Country Opry with two performances, 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.. As an added treat, the Red Top Jail will have a ribbon cutting for their new roof, as well as tours. You can also sample a dessert there from one of the restaurants.
