Llano Main Street will sponsor a showing of James Cameron’s epic movie, Avatar, this Friday night, February 5 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday afternoon February 6 at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m.

The movie takes us to a spectacular new world beyond our imagination where a reluctant hero embarks on a journey of redemption and discovery as he leads a heroic battle to save a civilization.

The film is filled with action, adventure, and science fiction and was 10 years in the making. The cast includes Sam Worthington, Zoe Soldana, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez and Sigourney Weaver.

In the story, an ex marine finds himself thrust into hostilities on an alien planet filled with exotic life forms. As an Avatar, a human mind in an alien body, he is torn between two worlds in a desperate fight for his own survival and that of the indigenous people.
