Lorene Mason Trant of Kingsland passed away in Llano Memorial Hospital on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010. Lorene “Lori” Mason was born in Dallas on Nov. 30, 1922. Lorene was married to Robert C. Trant on June 14, 1973 in Lake Dallas. In 1975, they moved to Palacios where Lori was a librarian for many years. She enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling when she was not in the library. Lori and “Bob” moved to Kingsland in 2007. Lori is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Trant of Kingsland her son Robert Allen Redd and wife Amy of Dallas; a niece, Jody Cook and husband Pat of Dallas; two nephews, Larry Kavanaugh of Dallas and Ronnie Kavanaugh of California and a brother Don Mason of Dallas. Lori was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother all of Dallas. Funeral services were in Bryan on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010. Graveside at Bryan City Cemetery by direction of Calloway Jones Funeral Home and Pastor Stovall officiating. Visitation of family was Thursday, Jan. 28 at 6pm to 8pm at Calloway Jones. Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
