Demystify financing a college education by attending a program at Llano High School on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
Ultimate Money Skills: College Funding, formerly Making College Financial Planning Count, provides parents of all high school students with the overview they need to begin developing a college financing plan for their student.
A workbook is provided for parents and students to use to follow along during the presentation and to take with them as a future resource. During this one-hour program, parents will gain an understanding of how the college financing process works, including how to plan for and manage college costs, types of financial aid that are available, an introduction to the FAFSA, ideas about where to look for additional information on scholarships and grants, and how to avoid scholarship scams.
Mary Ann Scott, Llano High School Junior/Senior Counselor, will be available after the program to answer any questions about the FAFSA for senior parents and anyone else who would like the information. The Ultimate Money Skills program is for all Llano area students of all ages and their parents.
