Three local law enforcement departments teamed up to arrest 40 year old Charles Darrell King on a five count federal indictment last week.
Sgt. Brad Evans, Investigator Mark Burke, and Deputy Kermit Robinson of the Llano County Sheriff’s Office, LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, and Llano Police Department Officer Allyn Rub arrested King in the 200 block of East Leon St., in Llano on Feb. 5 at 9:24 p.m. as King was operating a motor vehicle.
The indictment was the result of a nearly year-long investigation by the Llano County Sheriff’s Office, Burnet County Sheriff’s Office, Lago Vista Police Department and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). The indictment charges King with conspiracy, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
King was booked into the Llano County Jail after the arrest on the federal charges and on Monday, ATF agents took custody of him.
