Abigail T. Najar, age 94 and lifetime resident of Llano passed away on Friday, Feb. 5, 2010. She was born on March 31, 1915 in Michoacan, Mexico, to Otilia and Jose Talancon. She married Catarino G. Najar, October 5, 1936 in Llano.

She was the oldest member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church and former member of the Llano Chamber of Commerce. She was also a successful entrepreneur and owner of “Abby’s Kitchen”.

She is survived by two daughters: Mary Moore and husband Dean of Llano and Dodie Henderson and husband Greg of Kingsland, two sisters: Maria Moore of Saginaw and Juanita Pond of Denton, eight grandchildren: 20 great grandchildren, six great, great, grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Catarino Najar in 1992, two sons, Richard George’ Najar, Joseph C. Najar, two brothers, five sisters, and one grandson, Steven Charles Moore.

A Rosary Service was held Sunday at the Waldrope-Hatfield- Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel at 7:00pm, with Father Scott Michalson officiating.

Funeral Mass was held at 10:00am on Monday, Feb. 8, 2010 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Llano, with Father Michalson officiating, and burial followed at the Llano City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jim Moore, David Najar, Joseph Jackson, Abel Najar, Eric Moore, and Noah Najar. Honorary pallbearers were her many friends in Llano County.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Catholic Relief Services.
