Fannie Jo Jones Howard, 77, of Kingsland went to be with her heavenly maker on April 28. She was the daughter of Henry Josiah and Elsie Lee (Bagby) Jones. She was born in Post on July 12, 1930, and grew up in Plainview.
Mrs. Howard is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Elton Wilton Jones, and Bryce Neeley Jones.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, H. Leon Howard; her son, Warren Howard; her daughter, Bonnalee Howard; her grandchildren, Amber Howard, Chance Howard, Addison Van Bramer, Jason Patterson Howard; and her great-granddaughter, McKenzie Howard.
Mrs. Howard married Hugh Leon Howard on Thanksgiving Day in 1949. Throughout her life, she belonged to many art groups, guilds, and leagues. Mrs. Howard was a founding member of Roann’s Club in Austin, an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and a lifetime active member of the Methodist Church.
As she wished, her body will be donated to science at Texas A&M University.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday May 1, at the Highland Lakes United Methodist Church 8303 W. Hwy 1431 in Kingsland.
