Martha Freida Umfrid, 90, of Llano, passed away Wednesday, April 23, in Llano. She was born on December 19, 1917, to Alma (Hellbusch) and Max Jentsch in Wichita Falls.
Mrs. Umfrid was married to Raymond Willis on March 23, 1947, in Wichita Falls, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Alma and Max Jentsch; sisters, Clara Ray and Pauline Armbrecht.
Survivors include daughter, Betty Tuckness and husband, Gerald, of Llano; son, Raymond Willis, Jr., of San Angelo; sisters, Louise Simmons, of Art, Inez Miiller, of Llano; brothers, Max Jentsch, of Guthrie, Oswald Jentsch, of Wichita Falls, August Jentsch, of Wichita Falls; two grandchildren, Bill Tuckness and Kristi Harper.
Mrs. Umfrid was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Castell.
A funeral service was held Saturday, April 26, at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel in Llano at 2 p.m. with Pastor Elliott Pancoast officiating. Interment followed at the Umfrid Cemetery in Valley Spring Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bill Jentsch, Bryan Miiller, Andy Feaster, Kody Wagner, Wayne Blum, and Ray Rusche.
Honorary pallbearers were Norman Grenwelge, Raymond Blum, James Banner and Homan Miiller.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Llano Memorial Hospital or to the American Heart Association.
