Over 200 people were at the Lantex for multiple showings of Dr. Seuss’, Horton Hears A Who!

Dr. Seuss has been entertaining children with his imaginative books for years and this month, The Rock N River Fest Committee presented this great family movie at 10 a.m., 1 p.m.; 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. as a fund raiser to help with the Fourth of July Festival this summer.

Thanks to the committee of volunteers that helped throughout the day. Angie Barington; Beverly Gatliff; Chuck Slocumb; Cooper Montgomery; Deana Kenner; Eugene Long; Frank Rowell; John Montgomery; Regan Russell, Steton Watson; and Teresa Harden were on hand to sell popcorn and cold drinks.

Visiting local merchants for $1 off coupon for entry to the movie had been successful, as there were 95 coupons presented at the box office.

Next month, Nimm’s Island is tentatively scheduled for May 31. School will be out and this movie will be a great way to start the summer.
