The Edwards Plateau Meat Goat Producers Association and the Llano County AgriLife Extension Service will be hosting a special program with Dr. Frank Craddock on May 8 at the Llano County Community Center (located approximately 3 miles west of Llano on RM 152) from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Dr. Craddock is the Texas AgriLife Extension Sheep and Goat Specialist, and will be demonstrating the proper procedures for disbudding (dehorning) and hoof trimming. In these programs, all aspects of goat production will be covered from nutrition and reproduction, general health care and herd maintenance, facilities, selection, and marketing.
Dr. Craddock will be available to answer any questions you might have. This is the second of six presentations Dr. Craddock will be having in Llano.
The remaining programs will be held on May 22, June 5, June 24, and July 8, all beginning at 6:30 p.m. with all remaining programs to be held at the Llano County Extension Office.
The Extension Office is located at 1447 E. State Hwy. 71-Unit E, Llano (corner of State Hwy. 71 East and County Road 303). The meetings are open to the public.
