Elections for officers of the Llano Athletic Booster Club will be held on Tuesday, May 13 at 5:30 p.m. in the Llano High School library.

Those interested in serving as President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Treasurer, or Secretary should contact Cindy Thurman at Cindy.Thurman@tdi.state.tx.us. Community members and parents of athletes are encouraged to become involved in the athletic booster club.

All monies raised through membership dues, sale of the restaurant coupons, concession sales at volleyball/basketball/track venues, and other fundraising efforts are used to help both junior high and high school athletics in the district.

This past year, the booster club purchases include, but are not limited to, end zone cameras, storage buildings located at the softball field and tennis courts, travel sweats for varsity volleyball, windsuits and ankle braces for varsity lady basketball, t-shirts and shorts for junior high athletics, tennis uniforms, infield conditioner for the baseball field, portable batting cage at the baseball field, recumbent bikes and weights for the weight room, and coaches jackets and shirts.

The current officers and members thank everyone for their support this past year and look forward to a successful 2008-2009. Go Jackets!
