Natalie Sanders of Llano received the 2010 American Chemical Society Award for Outstanding Graduating Senior from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.

Sanders received the award at the University’s Honors Convocation Feb. 20. She will be graduating May 2010 with a degree in Chemistry. After graduation, she plans to pursue an MD/PhD studying infectious diseases.

Sanders is the daughter of Mike and Janet Sanders of Llano. She is a 2006 graduate of Llano High School.

Southwestern University is a selective, nationally recognized undergraduate liberal arts college with an enrollment of 1,300 students. It is the oldest chartered institution of higher learning in Texas.
