Saturday, the Jackets watched a 4-0 lead turn into a 6-4 loss at the hands of Lorena in Killeen.

The playoff tuneup game was a chance for the Jackets to work out some pitchers in anticipation to a best of three series this weekend against Luling.

According to Krimpin, Ty Compton will take the starting role Friday night. Lance Dickey and Dallas Redden will be on the mound, among others if needed in a possible double-header Saturday.

The bidistrict contest takes place at 7 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday at Leander High School.
