L.B. Binyon, Jr., 58, of Kingsland, passed away on May 1. Mr. Binyon was born in Ft. Worth, to L.B. and Selma (Bollinger) Binyon, Sr.
He is preceded in death by his father, L.B. Binyon, Sr.; his mother, Selma; his step-father Ike Mayer; his two brothers, Joey Mayer and David Mayer; and his uncle, Marvin Day.
Mr. Binyon is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Binyon, of Kingsland; his sons, L.B. Binyon III and wife, Jenneth, of Wichita Falls, Bill Binyon, of Wichita Falls, Brandon and Justin Duncan, of Austin, Dustin Krapf, of Martindale; his daughters, Misty and Carlos Tynes, of San Antonio, and Natasha Binyon Evans, of San Marcos; his fourteen grandchildren; his brother, Daniel Binyon and wife, Sharon, of Austin; his dog Snoopy; and his father and mother-in-law Ray and Shirley Payne, of Kingsland.
Mr. Binyon received national recognition for starting a VA mental health organization for veterans in Austin, that was called the McCabe Center. He received a license as a LCDC (licensed chemical dependency counselor). Mr. Binyon met and married Pamela Payne in 1997. He loved to garden, spend time with his family, spoil his grandchildren, but most of all he loved to help people.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Llano Memorial Hospice and Nurse Bobbie Jo.
Funeral arrangement were held on May 3, at 2 p.m. at Putnam Funeral Home Chapel in Kingsland, Texas with interment at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet.
