Linda Diane Gardner Batchelor, 61, of Kingsland, passed away Saturday, May 3, in Llano. She was born on December 20, 1946, to Martha Ann (Dixon) and Milton Lee Gardner in Seattle, Wash.

Mrs. Batchelor is preceded in death by her father, M. Lee Gardner; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L.K. Dixon; her two nieces and one nephew.

Survivors include her beloved mother, Martha Ann Gardner, of Missouri City; her brother, Jack Wright and wife, Pamela, of Houston; her uncle, Edward M. Dixon, of Silver Spring, Md.; and her cousin, Bryan Criswell of Fairfax, Va.

Mrs. Batchelor was a homemaker and a member of the Highway to Hope Church in Kingsland.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 7, at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel in Kingsland at 11 a.m. with Pastor John Tuttle officiating.

Entombment will be held Friday, May 9, at Forest Park Cemetery in Houston, at 2 p.m.

For Linda’s love of animals, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Citizens for Animal Protection in Houston.
