Billy O. Brooks, 76, of Kingsland, passed away May 4. He was born to O.C. and Winnie (Beadle) Brooks on March 6, 1932, in Girard.

Mr. Brooks is preceded in death by his twin daughters, Cheryl Ann and Sharon Denise Brooks.

He is survived by his sisters, Claudia Floyd, Lora Benda, Betty Townsend, Larue McGill, Temple Rohlack; his brothers, Cleo C. Brooks, Murrell Brooks and wife, Janie, Wesley Brooks and wife, Susie, Thurston Brooks, Mike Brooks; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Brooks loved to garden, travel, hunt and fish. He enjoyed dining at restaurants and visiting with friends.

A memorial service was held 2 p.m. Tuesday May 6, at the Putnam Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Max Copeland officiating.
