The Llano Boys and Girls Golf Teams advanced to Regional competition on April 21 and 22 in Corpus Christi. The boys played 36 holes at the OSO Golf course, while the girls played at the Gabe Lozano course.

The weather cooperated, although there was the typical stiff gulf breeze, which blew constantly both days.

The girls did well, coming in fourth place out of 15 teams, and beating the other District 25 team Wimberley by 4 strokes with a combined two day score of 760. There were 90 girls in the tournament, and the Llano individual girls two day combined scores and rankings were as follows: Anne Christopher, 15th with a 183, Kelley Bradley, 23rd with 192, Bailey Price 24th with a 192, and Sarah Rucker 25th with a 194.

The Boys Team encountered very stiff competition, and tied for 11th place with a 704 two day combined score.

Out of 95 participants Johnny Gonzalez placed 15th with a two day score of 160, Jordan Montgomery came in 31st with a 167, Travis Lawrence was 39th with a 172, and Saul Lopez rounded out the Llano team with a 269.

Both Boys and Girls teams should be proud of their accomplishments this year, and continuing to work hard next year will provide them with the impetus they need to advance past Regional competition to State.
