LaRhesa Lee McNair, 96, of Kingsland passed away Thursday, May 8, in Bryan. She was born on Dec. 7, 1911, to Cenia (Ricketson) and Frank L. Gunn in Burnet County.
Mrs. McNair was married to Travis Barrington McNair on Jan. 14, 1940 in San Angelo, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Cenia and Frank Gunn; her sister, Birdie Burleson and her brother, Roy F. Gunn.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Bowling and husband, Guy E. “Jack,” of Nolanville; her sisters, Zola Knowles, of College Station, Hazel Jackson, of San Antonio, Oleta Smith, of The Woodlands, Mary House, of College Station; her brother, Dr. F.L. Gunn, of College Station; her three grandchildren, Travis Ray Bowling and wife, Ann Pamela Rae Bowling; Guy Erik Bowling; one great grandson, William Bowling; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She had retired as a nurse and was a member of the Highland Lakes United Methodist Church in Kingsland.
A funeral service were held Saturday, May 10, at Highland Lakes United Methodist Church in Kingsland, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Grady Roe officiating. Interment will follow at the Kingsland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Highland Lakes United Methodist Church or to any favorite charity.
