Janet Bloxham Hayes, 59, of Llano, passed away Friday, May 9 in San Antonio. She was born on June 21, 1948, to Mildred Viola (VanDusseldorp) and Raymond Joseph Bloxham in Hampton, Iowa.

Mrs. Hayes is preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Raymond Bloxham.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Bill Hayes of Llano; her daughter, Melinda Hayes of Bryan; her son, Terry Lee Buss of North Carolina; her brother, Neil Bloxham of Pea Ridge, Ark. and one grandson.

Mrs. Hayes married Bill Hayes on June 11, 1966 in Union County, S.D. She was a member of the Church of Christ and the Texas Municipal Peace officer Association

A memorial service was held Monday, May 12, at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel in Llano 11 a.m. with Bill Wolf officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Bonnet Equine Humane Society; P.O. Box 15, Rosharon, Texas 77583-0015.

Arrangements under the direction of Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Homes, Inc. in Llano.
