The Hill Country Livestock Raisers held their 58th Annual Banquet on Saturday, May 3 at the Llano Community Center.

Mr. Scott Dudley presided over the banquet, highlighted by the recognition of Cowboy of the Year, Mr. Leland Kiker. Five recipients of the association scholarship were recognized, they were Wes Regmund, son of John and Cheryl Regmund, A.C. Pippenger, son of Paige Lilly, Nathan Dudley, son of Scott and Mara Dudley, Cassidy Rabb, daughter of Richard and Debbie Rabb, and Alex Homesley, son of Wayne and La Kay Homesley.

These $2,000 scholarships are presented to outstanding youth who plan to pursue some field of agriculture at college. The scholarship money is generated from memorial gifts to the association.

Nearly 150 people attended the event. Linda Kirkpatrick, a Cowboy Poet from Bandera, entertained the guests while they ate a steak supper provided by the Llano Livestock Association.
