The Tow Volunteer Fire Department Fish Fry Fundraiser will join with the Scott & White Blood Center to sponsor a blood drive Saturday, May 24.

“Saving Lives Texas Style” will be held at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and VFD volunteers will be serving up fried fish and the fixings 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

North from the Bluffton Post Office on RR 2241, the firehouse is located on CR 221 adjacent to the Tow Community Center and Campground.

Fried fish dinners are served for a donation to the fire department.

Blood donors will receive a free donor tee shirt and a chili pepper squeezie. In addition, they will have a chance to enter a drawing for a free night’s stay in Austin, compliments of DoubleTree Hotels-Suites-Resorts-Clubs.

The Tow VFD has 16 firefighters under the leadership of Chief Jerry Alexander and an active ladies auxiliary. Additional information and sign-up for volunteers is available from Roxie Alexander, (325) 379-2032.
